Technology path study for a climate-neutral building stock in the state of Hesse: Use of renewable energies for heating and cooling in existing buildings
To achieve the goals of the energy transition in Hesse, especially in the building sector, a detailed examination of the diverse, available technologies and potentials is required. Within the scope of this study, the relevant technological options for the use of renewable energies for heating and cooling in existing buildings are examined in detail and evaluated with a special focus on the state of Hesse. In combination with a detailed analysis of the sources of renewable energies available for Hesse, statements can then be made about possible paths towards a CO2-free heating and cooling supply for existing buildings. For this purpose, potential and literature research as well as a technology selection will be carried out. The suitable technologies are evaluated in detail on the basis of meaningful key performance indicators.
