Ben Krämer wins Albert Tichelmann Prize 2016
For his work "Simulation and life-cycle cost-oriented optimization of electricity-based building supply systems with time-variable electricity tariffs", Mr. Ben Krämer was presented with the Albert Tichelmann Prize 2016 on the 20th of January 2017 as part of the academic celebration of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The supervision of the work was carried out in cooperation with the R&D department of Viessmann GmbH & Co. KG. The Albert Tichelmann Prize has been awarded since 2003 as a young talent prize for outstanding work in the field of technical building equipment. In his laudatory speech, Prof. Uwe Franzke, Chairman of the VDI Department of TGA, praised the master's thesis of Ben Krämer, who had prevailed in the jury selection against applicants from Berlin, Stuttgart and Offenburg, among others. As the winner of the Albert Tichelmann Prize, Krämer now represents Germany in the European student competition of the European LüKK association REHVA, which will take place in London in April 2017.
