Project duration:
11/2014 to 02/2015
Client:
Bundesindustrieverband Technische Gebäudeausrüstung e.V. (BTGa)
Project partners:
• Institute of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Building (E3D), RWTH Aachen
• Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate (EBC), RWTH Aachen
Description:
The project focused on the planning and implementation of a workshop on the use of BIM in the field of building services (November 4, 2014, in Frankfurt/Main, on the initiative of the BTGa), as well on processing and publishing the discussion results in a technical report (published in the BTGa Almanac 2015; pages 34-39).
Issues discussed in the workshop were the personnel-specific and technical requirements for the implementation of BIM projects, questions about the extent and timeframes of incoming/outgoing data, questions about document changes during the project phases, the aspect of responsibility and liability in the planning and construction process, as well as attribution to the work phases governed by the HOAI. The workshop was attended by representatives of the BTGa, the two RWTH-Institutes (Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Building, E3D, and Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate, EBC), the three invited CAD software houses (liNear GmbH, Data Design System GmbH and Plancal GmbH), a building contract lawyer, manufacturers of building service systems, and members of the BTGa-Association.
