18th International IBPSA Conference BS2023 in Shanghai
At this year’s BS2023 in Shanghai, the Institute of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Building E3D presented no less than 4 contributions. Maximilian Schildt introduced regionally specific archetypes for building life cycle assessments on a district scale. Veronika Richter presented a framework for automated thermal comfort analyses based on IFC-models. Linus Cuypers showed a comparison between two tools for the determination of annual heat load curves on a district level. Sonja Herzogenrath presented automated life cycle assessments for district-scale building refurbishments. The numerous discussions and contributions at the conference, which was held with the slogan “Simulation for low carbon city/design/operation”, emphasized the global need for action as well as the similarity of regional problems with regard to the decarbonization of the building sector.
